How to Choose the Best Plants for a Lush Water-wise Garden - A Talk and Walk
Saturday, September 18, 2021
Do you want a lush, beautiful and water-wise garden that is also lower-maintenance, and friendly to our local native animals and pollinators?
Come join UC Master Gardener Ann Finney on Saturday, September 18th to learn about both Native and Mediterranean climate plants that are interesting, beautiful, colorful, water-wise, and perform well in our local Mediterranean climate. She will take you on a walking tour of the entrance gardens, displaying plants adapted to our climate that you might want to plant in your gardens. The talk and walk will last about an hour, with a half-hour afterwards for questions.
It is recommended to wear closed-toe shoes, layered clothing, and a hat, as the talk and walk will be held outdoors and the weather is sometimes uncooperative.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to park and sign in.
Free Parking is available on Chynoweth Avenue (across from Vauxhall Circle). The Park charges $6 for Parking.
